As a Historian…

…for hire! I am Laura Fitzachary, based in Dublin, Ireland having worked in the museum sector for just under a decade. Known online as ‘Seek the Historic’ , I am a historian, presenter, writer and my company SeekClio strives to highlight the importance of historical accuracy. I have provided research for a number of clients including productions for radio, theatre & TV as well as on all social media platforms. From appearing on screen as a historical consultant to providing historical research to aid the accuracy of scripts, costume and documentaries, I focus on fashion, beauty and cosmetic history in Ireland. My background lies in art history and history, armed with two degrees and many a publication, talk, post and conference paper in other fields such as: Irish social history, medieval art and architectural history and public history…

Seek the Historic is where fashion, art, culture, history and travel meet, combining years of research and experience with public engagement.
